01/06/2017 - Early June Inspection

17 degrees and rising outside. Langstroth Hive 1- very prolific in expansion. Two frames of fresh brood with a queen cell each (at least) removed and placed in empty Langstroth Hive 3. Langstroth Hive 3 has been lying empty but with most brood frames full of honey stores. National Hive 4 - very active and expanding steadily. Queen not spotted but fresh brood looking good. National Hive 6 - Queen spotted but as in previous years has not started profuse laying. Some brood frames still to be drawn with comb.
