End Of May Inspection

A superb day for an inspection. Hot and calm. Langstroth Hive 1 is continuing to steadily increase. Queen not identified this time but definitely there and laying. Drone brood destroyed to delay/discourage swarming. Lots of varroa mites in this hive. Langstroth Hive 2 also busy and steadily increasing. Less varroa in this hive. Queen not identified. National Hive 3 extremely busy and congested. Several queen cells identified and destroyed after finding the queen. Drone brood also destroyed. The jumbo honey box frames all now with honey stores much of it capped. Less varroa in this hive. Bees beginning to draw comb in section box/super.
