Late Summer Harvest

Overcast but cool day for an inspection.Hive 1 - not opened, just observed from outside. Busy foraging bees. Hive 2 - surprised yo finf that there is a new queen which has started laying nicely. Not looked for her today. Hive 3 - queen spotted but neither eggs nor brood. Mated? Will need to closely observe the progress of this hive. Hive 4 - empty. Hive 5 - empty. Hive 6 - doing extremely well. Seven jumbo frames harvested for extraction. Brood box not inspected. Doubt if there could be swarming at this late stage.
