After almost 5 weeks, I decided to inspect the hive and feed the bees. There is evidence of the queen being about since there is a substantial presence of brood (various developmental stages). There are fliers bringing in pollen though this activity is minimal due to the very cool and dull weather. Will undertake another inspection next weekend, weather permitting.
