Splitting - 21/05/2021
Temperature about 11°C overcast, drizzly. Langstroth Hive 1 - No change in queen laying rate (slow). No drone brood yet. No brood split undertaken. Langstroth Hive 3 - Queen prolifically laying. Brood split. Three frames of capped brood transferred to Langstroth Hive 2. loads of honey stores in hive already. Horizontal Hive - Transferred two frames with capped brood from LH3. Inserted two frames of honey stores.
Two Carnelian queens received today from BS Honey Bees.
