Checked the main colony for progress. Hive appears to be ready to swarm (if not swarmed already) since the bees earlier had looked very excitable outside. There was a lot flying about. On close examination there was one sealed queen cell which was destroyed. I hope that the old queen had not left the hive as yet. Fingers crossed. The number of bees present does not indcate that swarming might have taken place.Will check again next week. Loads of pollen even in the supers because of the good weather in the last fortnight.
