Time For Queen Excluder ON

A nice bright day although on the cold side. This is not deterring fliers. Some are on cleansing flights whilst others are seen to be on foraging errands as they are bringing in loads of pollen. On inspection of the hive, food reserves are still plentiful. Both supers and the brood box are almost full of stored honey. Surely with winter over, time for the queen excluder to be placed back on. Did exactly that. Tidied up the hive and put everything back securely. Might not undertake another inspection for a month.
