Weather warm and partly sunny. Temperature about 20°C. National Hive 1 - Queen presumed present although not spotted. Healthy brood observed. Presence of drones and drone brood. Possibly preparing to swarm. Did a split using a frame with brood and a sealed queen cell. Two more frames with brood at various levels of development placed in new breed box (using as 'nuc'). Ample food stores for the nuc. Placed new drawn comb frames to replace ones taken out. National Hive 2 - Created new nuc. Langstroth Hive 1 - Queen not spotted. Healthy brood observed. Plenty of food stores. No queen cup/cells. Langstroth Hive 2 - Queen spotted and marked red(2018). Healthy brood observed. Plenty of food stores. No queen cup/cells. Langstroth Hive 3 - Queen spotted. Healthy brood observed. Plenty of food stores. No cup/queen cells.
