Another Spring Check

A very warm day with a lot of activity in and around the hive. Substantial increase in worker numbers. Some sealed drone cells and a few drones about. Plenty of brood in all stages of development, queen definitely busy. Queen not sighted, must be a shy lady. No sign of queen cells as yet except three or so queen cups (removed). No varroa fall detected. No feeding required. Plenty of sugar. Brood box has plentiful honey stores. Loads of pollen being flown in. A few drawn cells in supers. Will wait for a fortnight before giving the hive another check. Happy with the way things are developing right now.
